Mudussara Khan, MD

Dr. Khan is a board-certified medical oncologist and hematologist with Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute in Volusia County.

Dr. Khan completed her medical training at West Virginia University School of Medicine, where she was recognized with several honors. She was named as chief resident in the department of internal medicine as well as chief fellow during her oncology fellowship and served as clinical assistant professor.

She has held multiple teaching positions and is the author of numerous articles and publications. She has also given a variety of presentations at industry symposiums, specializing in such areas as breast cancer, coagulation disorders, DNA synthesis, multiple sclerosis, and spinal cord injuries.

As the mother of four daughters, Dr. Khan has a particular interest in breast cancer, although she treats all types of cancer and hematologic disease. She is passionate in educating her patients about the disease and stresses the importance of early detection through breast self- examination and regular mammography screenings.
