Senior Management Team


Brad Prechtl, Chief Executive Officer Brad Prechtl is the Chief Executive Officer with Florida Cancer Specialists. In this role, Brad is responsible for carrying out the overall strategic mission and vision for the organization. He brings a wealth of health care leadership experience to this position. After graduating with a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from West Virginia University, he obtained his license as a Certified Public Accountant in 1991. He then earned his M.B.A. from the University of Pittsburgh. Before joining Florida Cancer Specialists in 2009, Brad served as Chief Operating Officer for Physician Oncology Services, Inc., one of the most successful prostate cancer treatment networks in Georgia and Indiana. He has also served as the President for Crozer Keystone Health Network, before that he was the Executive Director of Practice Operations for Texas Oncology of US Oncology, the nation’s largest physician practice management company devoted to cancer treatment and research. Brad is excited to be a part of the strategic expansion of Florida Cancer Specialists and is committed to the company’s mission of providing personalized and caring hematology/oncology services to our patients using state of the art technology.

Denice Veatch, Chief Financial Officer Denice Veatch is the Chief Financial Officer with Florida Cancer Specialists. In this role, Denice is responsible for all aspects of the financial and accounting operations of FCS. After graduating from Cameron University with a Bachelor’s degree in Management and Finance, Denice went on to receive her MBA from Oklahoma City University. Prior to joining Florida Cancer Specialists in 2008, Denice worked with large multi-specialty groups and hospital organizations both in operational and financial roles. Denice enjoys spending time with her family and friends, gardening, and going to the beach.


Sue Ciccaglione, Director of Operations in Regions 1 and 3 Sue Ciccaglione is the Director of Operations in Regions 1 and 3 for Florida Cancer Specialists. In this role, Sue manages all aspects of the daily operations in the clinics including; patient care, central scheduling, radiation, radiology and facilitating new mergers. Sue attended International College where she studied Business Administration. Before joining Florida Cancer Specialists in 2005, Sue worked in health care for 10 years overseeing both finance and daily operations for a diverse range of organizations. Sue is passionate about health care, both private and not for profit and enjoys working with the physicians, staff, and patients to ensure a positive experience for everyone. Sue’s hobby is sports and she enjoys spending time with her two sons and grandson.

Tim Boozan, Director of Operations for Region 2 Tim Boozan is the Director of Operations for Region 2 with Florida Cancer Specialists. He has been with FCS since 2008 and manages all aspects of the daily operations in the clinics including; patient care, central scheduling, radiology and facilitating new mergers. He recently took on the responsibility of Chief Information Officer where he is in charge of the information systems infrastructure including the electronic medical records, system architecture, and customer support. Tim comes from a background that combines his nursing skills and business experience. Before joining Florida Cancer Specialists, Tim founded the medical management department of Florida’s largest third-party administrator and served as its director for 11 years. He has also worked as a pediatric head injury nurse in a rehabilitation hospital. Tim graduated from Truman State University with a Bachelor’s in Business Administration, and also attended the State College of Florida where he received his Associates Degree in Nursing Science. Tim volunteers with youth organizations and works with the Wellness Community to support individuals with cancer.

John Dodd, Director of Operations for Human Resources/Procurement Management/Rx to Go John Dodd is the Director of Operations for Human Resources/Procurement Management/Rx to Go with Florida Cancer Specialists. In this role, he provides direction and advice to the President, CEO, and Senior Management Team regarding Human Resources, Procurement Management and Rx to Go as well as Safety management. John earned his BS in Human Resources as well as two additional Associate degrees in these disciplines. John has more than 22 years of experience in HR and 13 years in Procurement Management, both in the government and private sectors. He has worked in companies ranging from 275 to over 3,000 employees in four states. John also holds a Florida insurance broker license. His hobbies include car racing and golf.

Sue Kearney, Corporate Compliance Officer/Director of Ancillary Operations Sue Kearney is the Corporate Compliance Officer/Director of Ancillary Operations with Florida Cancer Specialists. In this role, Sue manages a team that is responsible for assuring adherence to the FCS Compliance Plan and FCS practice policies by all employees and physicians. Her responsibilities include legal issues, HIPAA, coding, auditing and transcription. She is also responsible for the central laboratory and all of the clinics laboratories. Sue earned her B.S. from the University of Vermont. Before joining Florida Cancer Specialists in 1999, Sue worked for 16 years in Pediatric Oncology at Fletcher Allen Health Care/University of Vermont as a Certified Clinical Research Associate where she also performed coding, auditing and billing. She is currently a member of HCCA (Health Care Compliance Association). Sue enjoys spending time with her family and friends, watching sports, reading and gardening.

Christina Sievert, Director of Patient Business Services Christina Sievert is the Director of Patient Business Services for Florida Cancer Specialists. Within this role, Christina oversees the business office which includes the practice management system, intake registration, utilization management, claims resolution, insurance billing, posting/cash applications, contracting and credentialing, self-pay collections, and financial aid. She is also responsible for the financial counselors who are located at the clinics. Christina has been a member of the Florida Cancer Specialists family for six years and has held numerous positions within the organization which have led to her to her current position. Prior to joining Florida Cancer Specialists, Christina was the Director of Business and Patient Relations for Cape Coral Eye Center. Christina has worked in the healthcare industry for more than 20 years and continues to be an active member of the healthcare community. She is a member of FLASCO (Florida Society of Clinical Oncology), HFMA (Healthcare Financial Management Association), and SATRO (Southern Association of Therapeutic Radiation Oncology). Christina is dedicated to ensuring that each and every patient has a positive experience at Florida Cancer Specialists.

Donna DeMercado, Controller Donna DeMercado is the Controller with Florida Cancer Specialists. In this role, Donna coordinates all aspects of accounting which include; accounts payable, payroll, cash management, fixed assets and general ledger through financial statements. She has a Certified Fiscal Officer designation with the State of Florida and has more than 20 years experience within the healthcare industry. Before joining Florida Cancer Specialists in 2007, Donna worked for a diverse range of organizations, including Lee County Sheriff’s Office-FDLE, Bend Memorial, Bend Surgery Center, St. Lukes Medical Center-Idaho Elks Hospital, Gilbert-Wallace-Stewart-Kummins-McGee & Dahlberg, CPA’s, and Jones & Roth, CPA’s. In her previous roles she was responsible for the oversight of accounting functions, staff relations, tax return preparation, and the audit processes within her departments. Donna’s hobbies include; hunting, fishing, singing and music.

Katie Goodman, Director of Clinical Research Katie Goodman is the Director of Clinical Research with Florida Cancer Specialists. In this role, she oversees the operations of the research program including managing a team of highly qualified research nurses and staff. Through ongoing collaboration with pharmaceutical sponsors and various research organizations Katie is dedicated to bringing cutting edge clinical trials to the patients of Florida Cancer Specialists. Katie holds a Bachelors of Nursing degree from Florida State University and is CCRP certified through the Society of Clinical Research Associates. She has over 20 years experience in the healthcare industry. Prior to joining FCS in 2001 Katie worked as a critical care nurse in cardiothoracic surgery, general medical and pulmonary transplant services at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta, GA. Katie is a native Floridian and enjoys spending time with family and friends.
